Prime Ultrasound (“Prime Ultrasound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a billing and Medicare rate-management tool for individual ultrasound sonographers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website (primeultrasound.com) and our application (app.primeultrasound.com), how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account we collect your email address and (optionally) your name, state of practice, and facility name. This information is used to authenticate you and to apply state-based Medicare rates correctly.
When you add a case, we store the CPT code, case date, time, custom rate (if any), and any optional notes you attach. You should not enter patient names, dates of birth, MRNs, or any other PHI. The product is built to function without that data, and we proactively decline fields that would invite it.
We collect basic usage data to keep the service reliable: log timestamps, IP address, browser type, error reports, and feature usage counts. We use this only for product reliability and security.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers — only the last four digits and a token returned by Stripe.
Because Prime Ultrasound is intentionally designed to operate without PHI, we are not a HIPAA Covered Entity. If your facility requires a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), contact us through the app before entering any data that could be considered PHI.
We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to operate Prime Ultrasound:
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prime Ultrasound, our users, or the public.
We never sell your data.
We keep your cases as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your cases remain exportable for 60 days, then are permanently deleted. You can also delete individual cases or your entire account at any time.
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. Production systems are access-restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure — but we treat your data as if it were our own.
You can:
Residents of California, the EU/EEA, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws have additional rights (access, portability, correction, deletion, objection, restriction). To exercise them, contact us through the app.
Prime Ultrasound is intended for licensed sonographers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
